Dr. Richard Akinjide
Reverend Richard is a minister of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. A Nigerian prince from a renowned royal dynasty, Reverend Akinjide simply chooses to be identified with his heavenly royalty. He earned a Master’s Degree in Theology from Vision International University, Romona CA, USA and a PhD in Biblical Studies from Newburg Theological Seminary, Indiana USA. As overseer of Tower of Praise Church International, he believes that the reality of the command of the Lord Jesus Christ to be his witnesses in all parts of the world is vested in passion for the soul and care for the body. He considers these two, inseparable entities. In over a quarter of a century doing ministry, caring for the widows, the orphans and the needy around the world has been his major focus. He has partnered with many ministries, relief organizations and agencies to bring smiles to sad faces and joy to broken hearts through materials, food and financial provisions. He believes that these provisions provide easier access to the souls knowing well that it can be very challenging to convince a hungry person who cannot afford a loaf of bread that Jesus is the bread of life or people drinking polluted water that Jesus is the fountain of living water. His ministry has provided food, clothing, shelter and other basic amenities to many impoverished people and communities across the continents. Reverend Richard Akinjide and his wife Pastor Olajumoke Akinjide established the Mission of Love Foundation to spread the gospel of compassion for the less privileged and to create a new world where genuine love for each other is the world’s legal tender and lingua franca.
